AB’s Top 5 Videos of 2024

2024 was one hell of a year for skateboarding in the Pacific Northwest. Breana held it down in Vancouver, Dylan Clark casually clipped up all along the West Coast, and Emile absolutely demolished Portland. To nail down our AB Top 5 Videos of 2024, we compiled every NW video that dropped this year and sent the list to our contributors & a few OG’s to vote on their favorites. Here are the official AB Top 5 Videos of 2024.

Our most-voted video of the year goes to Kevin Stakes' latest, Saga Continues, featuring Alex Harr, Griffin Gass, Greg Dehart, Simon Bannerot, Simon Wilke, Pat Haynes, and Noah Holmes. The 4:3 aspect ratio, grain, and golden tones of the VX1000 still reign supreme in 2024, and Kevin wields it like a true master. At its core, skateboarding is about getting out with the homies and having a good time, and this video captures that essence effortlessly—reminding us why we all love to skate in the first place.

Just about everyone was a fan of Antisocial Summer from Vancouver’s Antisocial shop, and for good reason. The vibes are good, skating is great and from the looks of it, everyone is having fun. The video features Rick McCrank, Breana Geering, Dustin Henry, Una Farrar, Amadou Diallo, Hasumi Iida, Ryan Bjorgan, Connor Belvis and a bunch more homies.

I Don’t Even Know How To F**ing Airwalk isn’t strictly a Northwest skate video, but there’s no way it wasn’t going to make this list. Emile goes full demon mode for his debut pro part, absolutely terrorizing Portland in the best way possible. Aaron Herrington keeps it smooth as always, clipping up at home in the city where it all began. Dane Brady even had a couple clips, though he’s largely absent throughout. The video was classic Polar, and it’ll be replaying on iPhone and laptop screens for a long time to come.

Ian Ostrowski, the man behind the Genesis videos and brand, dropped Victorian Mansion to celebrate the release of their new Genesis boards and gear. The nearly 20 minute edit features many familiar Genny faces like Dylan Clark, Jasper Levine, Darrian Williams, Bao Nguyen, TJ Robinson, Caden Smith, Jacob Ball, KJ Phanissay, Romel Torres, and lots more homies. The only question we’re left with is who did the bs grind drop to curb on the kinker first, Dylan Clark or 2x SOTY Jamie Foy?

Smell The River by Portland’s Cole Navin was technically released on NYE 2023 but since that didn’t leave us anytime to consider it for last years list, we went ahead and made it a contender for 2024. After all the votes were counted this short and sweet one made the list, and it’s easy to see why. The edit features Marc O'Malley, Aidan Olmstead, Tyree Johnson, Forest Bailey and Preston Harper ripping throughout Portland, NY and some spots in between.
