December 2023 Video Recap

December was busy af with 3 full length videos hitting the internet. Below we recap all 3 of the full length NW skate videos that blessed YouTube in December.

Pops Skateshop’s Welcome to Everett

Coming in at just over 34 minutes, ‘Welcome to Everett’ features the Pop’s crew skating much more than the just the city they call home. They venture all over the NW from Tacoma to Bellingham, and even makes a trip to SF while filming for the video. We get full parts from Justin Duong, Austin Fischer, Taylor Clark, Yvette Wasserman, Timmy Saeparn, Daniel Ramirez, Charlie Krieg, Jefferson Elliot and Jon Drinkard. The film runs 34 mintues and was put together by Jefferson Elliot, who beyond the editing, is also a really talented artist who created the animations throughout the edit. Enjoy!

It Gets to a Point

Ian is back with a new video titled ‘It Gets to a Point’. The (almost) 20 minute edit features familiar Genesis crew names like Dylan Clark, Kj Phanissay, Caden Smith, Darrian Williams, Jasper levine, Tim Hogan, Xavier Holte, Bao Nguyen, Romel Torres, Jacob Ball, TJ Robinson and hella more homies. Dylan opens up the video in classic Dylan fashion, with good tricks at good spots. But the stand out part to me was TJ, who has consistently delivered in the last few Genesis edits.

This is Authentic, Too

This is Authentic, too gives off playground vibes, especially since a lot of the clips were filmed on school playgrounds. It’s just some big kids hangin out, jumpin around, & havin a good time. I personally loved all the music choices & think it created a great vibe for this fun crew of dudes. As far as skateboarding goes this video has it all. It’s got ledge skating, rail skating, manny clips, hippy jumps, 4 downs, hehe's, slappys, gaps, wall rides, no complies, regular, switch, hill bombs, bam bam, summer clips, winter clips, high fives, fist bumps, some gnarly shit, some tech shit, some weird shit, some goofy shit, Etc. Whatever kind of skateboarding you enjoy, there’s someone in this video doing just that. What I look for in a good skate video is how it makes me feel once it’s over, and all I could feel after this was an instant desire to get out there & skate!
