e11even - A documentary on Tacoma’s 11th St DIY Skatepark

E11even is the story of Tacoma’s 11th St DIY skatepark and the crew behind the scenes who have made it happen.

The documentary, which runs just under 30 minutes, was directed by Tacoma skaters/videographers Nolan Wilson & Jack Saffle. If you’re not familiar with Nolan Wilson’s previous work, I suggest you stop reading right now and go and watch Get Down, one of Tacoma’s best full length videos to ever hit the internet.

Aaron Artis, one the VERY few skaters from Tacoma to fully realize the professional skateboarder dream, stands out as a leading voice for the DIY in e11even. The documentary shares what it was like before the crew started construction on the park, how they got the whole build started, the struggles and successes along the way, and what the hopes are for the future of the 11th St DIY. Go give it watch, and when you’re done cruise on over to 11th St for a session to show some love. And when you’re done skating the park, stop on by The Method for a coffee, as it sits just across the bridge from the DIY.
