What is adjacent?

Adjacent is a weekend long skate event centered around street skating, filming, and celebrating skateboarding through a Northwest lens. Adjacent brings skaters, shops, brands, filmers, photographers, artists, and community members together for three days of skating, learning, and hanging out. After a strong first year in 2025, Adjacent returns to Portland July 24–26, 2026, focused on street skating, stacking clips, sharing ideas, and building community.

stackin clips

Stackin’ Clips is the heart of the Adjacent. It runs Friday through Sunday, sending crews out into the streets of Portland to stack clips. On the final day, everyone comes together to submit footage, and a community edit from the weekend drops after the event.

PANELS AND PRESENTATIONS

Each morning of the weekend begins with panels/presentations that bring people together in one place to start the day with something engaging and thoughtful. These sessions set the tone for the day, giving everyone a shared moment before heading out into the city to skate, film, and take part in the rest of the weekend.

Side Missions

Between skating and main events, side missions pop up all weekend. The extra curricular hangs and meetups include both planned and spontaneous moments at different locations around Portland. These offer a way to keep people skating, moving and connecting without over structuring the weekend.

Adjacent is made possible through a mix of presenting, title, supporting, product sponsors and volunteers who help fund the event, facilitate programming, and support the Northwest skateboarding community.
