An Homage to Westlake
35th North recently teamed up with Converse to release a collaborative shoe honoring the Westlake Plaza, a legendary Seattle skate spot. The shoe and box combo tied in not only the colors we’re familiar with at Westlake, but the box also included some textures of the legendary location. Pretty special honestly.
Better yet, in celebration of the collab, NW skate video mastermind Alex Cooper crafted a 10-minute retrospective edit featuring Westlake clips from various crews over the years. With nearly no original sound available, nearly every audio element was painstakingly added, showcasing the immense dedication and hard work behind the project. It’s been really cool to see this all come together, and shout out to everyone behind the scenes who made it happen.
